Tuscany Wedding at Fattoria Mansi Bernardini

I met A years ago when we both were starting up in the UK wedding industry (she is an accomplished hair and make up artist). What initially started out as a business relationship, quickly merged into a friendship and mutual support in our work and passions. I am incredibly grateful she stepped into my life and when she asked me to shoot her and J’s wedding in Tuscany, it was a YES. Their four day Tuscan wedding was featured on Rock My Wedding and here in this post are my own favourites from the days we spent there.

A: “We had been to many friends weddings over the years, and working in weddings myself as a hair and makeup artist, I knew how quickly the day goes, and I was hoping we could do some form of celebration over the course of a few days. When we started initially wedding planning after getting engaged in South Africa, we were looking at venues in the UK. I found it so hard as I had been to so many incredible venues, but I also associated them with work. It had always been my dream to get married abroad but I wasn’t sure if J was so keen. However much to my surprise, hewas totally on board and so the fun really started. We realised we were so much more excited about the prospect of getting married abroad and we really wanted to make it totally unique to us and throw a really good party.”

“We can’t thank Cecelina enough. I had become good friends with Cecelina after working with her on shoots and real weddings. She has this ability to capture light in such a beautiful way that it was a no-brainer for me to fly her over to Italy and be a part of our day. I just knew that she would capture these memories we will cherish forever in such a special way.”

We were waiting for the baking sun over the Tuscan fields to become a little less blinding. At separate locations at Frattoria Mansi Bernardini, A and J got ready and dressed with their closest friends and family. Leisurely sipping Prosecco to music and laughter and cooling off by the air con. What happened over the next few hours was breathtaking to say the least. So much warmth and love from their guests, dancing, food, wine and speeches over which we roared with laughter. What topped it all off was the magnificent sunset over the Tuscan hills. It was as if they walked straight into the sun! It was a dream wedding indeed that I will always remember.
