Hackney Registry Office Wedding
When attempting to photographing this couple’s engagement session and instead being caught up in a rain storm – we turned indoors for a coffee and instead I got to hear their very special story. The engagement session was re-scheduled to a later date and I am truly happy for that rainstorm, which made me get to know Cindy and Gerald better that I ever hoped to.

This Old Marylebone Town Hall Wedding took place in the beginning of the summer in London. Ashley and Ray had their wedding preparations together in their flat in Marylebone, just a short walk to Marlebone Town Hall itself. Surrounded by friends and family, everyone got ready together which made the atmosphere very relaxed and warm. Ashley wore a beautiful white wedding dress in a mermaid style and looked stunning in purple wedding shoes and a white flower in her hair.

This is a mishmash of images from these past few months, which I have called A Wedding Photographer’s Holiday, including a few of my favourite places I visited. A definite highlight was spending a week in the north of Sweden with my cousins and relatives, on sandy beaches (oh yes, we do have those in Sweden too), and taking the boat out on still waters. These first images is from my time in Haparanda, where this church has been standing on this island for hundreds of years, I fell in love! Imaging photographing a bride walking along those boards up to the small church where her groom is waiting? (Never stop working even though you’re on holiday, I know…).

Here is a little taster on what I have been up to lately; the behind the scenes images from my amazing styled wedding inspiration photo shoot a few Wendesdays ago. It shows me in action shooting two of our three models on set in the beautiful wedding location of Nonsuch Mansions. The creative team and I had an Avant Garde wedding theme in mind when we put together this shoot. On set we were one photographer, there models, a hair stylist, a make up artist, a bridal dress designer, a cake designer, a stationary designer, a florist, assistants and one intern. The place was buzzing and everyone came together to create something special.

I can’t help myself, I just had to share these images from Ashley and Raymond’s wedding two days ago at the Marylebone Town Hall with a reception held at Beaufort House in Chelsea. After the ceremony we had plenty of time for the couple’s portraits and headed down to a nearby garden and took these pictures.
British Wedding In Sweden – Jack + Erika
I met up with Jack and Erika in north London for their pre wedding session when the weather seemed to finally have realised it is summer! This lovely couple is getting married in the south of Sweden next Saturday in the town of Tollarp. Their wedding day also falls on to my favourite Swedish holiday – Midsummer, a night full of magic in Swedish folklore.

There are few images a bride loves more than a really well executed and beautiful bridal portrait. For wedding photographers in London, the style and look of wedding photography has changed and evolved a lot the past years, but a few things, like the bridal portrait, remain a classic. One important thing to remember as a wedding photographer, is that what you think is a beautiful and perfect image, might not be the image that your client prefers.
