I didn’t have to work hard at capturing candid wedding images at Jonas and Sally’s British wedding in Sweden, as their guests were loving the camera attention. Being a Swedish wedding photographer in London, I don’t spend enough time in my home country. I jumped at the chance to travel to this British summer wedding in Sweden, to a beautiful place on the countryside I haven’t been before. I have been waiting eagerly to share this wedding with you! The best of two cultures I love, Swedish and British, met here in a British wedding in the Swedish countryside. Jack and Erika live and grew up in Britain, but made the decision to host their wedding in Sweden due to Erika’s Swedish side of the family who lives there. Being a Swedish Wedding photographer in London, I jumped at the opportunity to photograph a wedding in my home country. When I look back at these images I feel so warm by the memories of this family oriented wedding and I hope Jack and Erika feels the same.

My presence here on the blog has been very sporadic the last weeks, so I thought I’d let you know that I am still alive and well! My wedding photography has taken me from London to Sweden twice this summer and this is where I currently resides, in the comfort of my family. I decided to combine work with pleasure and visit my cousins and grandparents in the north of Sweden, beautiful Haparanda. Doesn’t this seem like the ideal place for a photographer to sit and edit images? (All while being fed traditional Swedish food and participating in the obligatory sauna and swim in the lake every evening…).

I met up with Jack and Erika in north London for their pre wedding session when the weather seemed to finally have realised it is summer! This lovely couple is getting married in the south of Sweden next Saturday in the town of Tollarp. Their wedding day also falls on to my favourite Swedish holiday – Midsummer, a night full of magic in Swedish folklore.
