A Wedding Photographer’s Holiday
This is a mishmash of images from these past few months, which I have called A Wedding Photographer’s Holiday, including a few of my favourite places I visited. A definite highlight was spending a week in the north of Sweden with my cousins and relatives, on sandy beaches (oh yes, we do have those in Sweden too), and taking the boat out on still waters. These first images is from my time in Haparanda, where this church has been standing on this island for hundreds of years, I fell in love! Imaging photographing a bride walking along those boards up to the small church where her groom is waiting? (Never stop working even though you’re on holiday, I know…).

When I turned up in the morning to the Royal Automobile Club in order to photograph Kirsty’s bridal preparations, I quickly sent out a thought to the weather Gods, trying to persuade them to hold off the rain just for this day. The past weeks had seen an endless downfall of rain and just a few days earlier I had to photograph Kirsty and Luke’s pre wedding photos underneath an umbrella (which actually worked out quite well since they had a London themed wedding). The plans for the outdoor cocktail hour was looking shaky, but I can tell you, the sun was shining bright and warn the entire day – and not one drop of rain.
