Archipelago Wedding Karlskrona Sweden | H + H
Days when the sun almost doesn’t set, the taste of salty air across the achipelago and endless nature wherever you turn. That’s what summer weddings in Sweden are like. The first time I came to Karlskrona, on the southern coast, I was struck by the history and natural beauty in this part of the country. H + H had chosen to get married outdoors on one of the little islands, in the middle of the Swedish summer. Brave as that can be in this part of the world, the sun shone all day until it dipped under the horizon.
A thing called ‘allemansrätten’ in Sweden, means that you have access to all nature across the country – free to roam, camp and pick berries. This makes for a nation closely connected to nature and many weddings are influenced by this. Natural, simple and where the focus is on the family being together. H + H’s wedding was no exception. I look back with so much fondness on their wedding day. And now I am so happy that they’re close to welcoming a little one into their family. Congratulations again you wonderful people!
